The outstandingly attractive village of Puebla de Don Fadrique is situated in the northernmost part of the Altiplano de Granada in Andalucía, Spain. It is surrounded by lovely verdant countryside and is dominated by the spectacular mountain peak of La Sagra. The journey is an approximate 200 mile round trip.

Located to the northwest of the province of Murcia behind the Sierra Espuna mountains is the town of Caravaca de la Cruz. Among the houses spread around the castle there are fine examples of Murcia's Renaissance architecture.

Bullas is o¬ne of various wine producing towns, situated 53 km inland from Murcia. It has a population of 11,435 and lies at 643 metres above sea level o¬n the edge of the River Mula Basin.

Baños de Mula

The nearby Baños de Mula thermal baths have been in existence since Roman times and are famous for their healing and medicinal qualities (Private bathing rooms are available to hire). The Cierva Reservoir (Embalse de la Cierva) is formed by the Mula River and is also close by and worth visitng.

Baños de Fortuna is a spa town to the northeast of Murcia. Famous for its hot springs which were greatly appreciated by the Romans, Baños de Fortuna is fast becoming popular once again for its hydrotherapy, beauty treatments and other therapies associated with the natural hot mineral water.

Vera

Vera

Originally called Baria, it was located by sea near Villaricos. It was moved to the hill of Espiritu Santo, but an earthquake destroyed it in 1518. The tale goes that Queen Isabel climbed to top of this hill, fired an arrow and ordered that Vera be built where it landed. One of the main attractions in Vera is the large water park that is suitable for both adults and children. You can also take a picnic into the water park but glass items are not permitted.

The journey as an approximate 4 hour round trip including a refreshment stop in each direction.
